Why would we need to update our Chipset drivers, when MS has all of the latest drivers in installer and via WIndows Updates? They spent a fortune sponsoring WHQL partnership with all manufacturers to build Win7 drivers, leveraging their support to get manufacturers not to hold out as they did in Vista and to get them done on deadline.

Reboot once more into safe mode and install the newest drivers. Use driver sweeper if it can clean up any of your drivers.
